SIMON COLVINTER   :  Lead Singer , Guitar , Ukulele , Sanza , Harmonica and more natural noises

Born in France , Simon has always been into the music. As a child he started dancing with his parrots on the Bolero De Ravel , listening to his mom playing the Adagio Sostenuto from Beethoven or les nocturnes de Chopin and living in a house where the Beatles ,The Pink Floyd , Led Zeppelin ,Hendrix , Santana , Supertramp , Queen , Ian Dury , Stanley Clarke , Herbie Hancock or Neil young and Bob Marley were his first guides .

 

As an angry teenager , Simon discovered Paris and such bands as RATM ,Marylin Manson , Nirvana , Pearl jam , Deftones , Qotsa , Korn , Soad , Dr Dre , the Wu tang , I AM . His first heart-breaking leaded him to the Smashing pumpkins and Jeff Buckley but he still wasn't playing.



He had to wait to turn 18 when he borrowed his first guitar and his best friends offered him his Conscience for his 20th Birthday.

From this moment , Simon understood he had to work hard and started creating his universe while discovering more artists such as Billie Holiday , Cake , Calexico , Bob Dylan , Janis Joplin , Sweet smoke ,Snot , Simian , Nina Simone , Archive, Portishead and Nick Drake.



When he turned 25, Simon discovered he was a singer and started composing with two friends many songs while working and studying Economics.

 

His universe was getting bigger and he found the strength to record his first album in 29 years. He contacted all the musicians and artists he admired: Une Lettre de Diplomatie was about to be.

 

6 days and 90 hours of intense recording later, Simon was done with his parts (vocals, guitars, harmonica, sanza, ukulele and organ).



Simon founded the association “Arts & Facts " and continued recording more songs .

" Une Lettre de Diplomatie "  is finally done : This album tells a story from the first song till the end and can be seen as a metamorphosis .
